New interview with Matthew

New York Times – Matthew Goode Knows How to Charm. Just Ask Lady Mary and Princess Margaret.

Matthew Goode has always exuded a whiff of danger: the slyly wicked smile. The devil-may-care charm. The sense that something rather naughty lurks beneath his suave exterior.

Which mostly explains why he was cast, no audition required, as Matthew Clairmont, an Oxford genealogist — and 1,500-year-old vampire — in “A Discovery of Witches,” streaming on Sundance Nowand Shudder, starting Jan. 17.

Goode Things Coming in 2019!

A quick round up of what movies are due for release and the projects Matthew is involved in this year.   Also at the end of this post is a summary of what TV shows and movies are available on streaming services in the UK, USA and Italy.

A Discovery of Witches – starts airing in the US and Canada on January 17th.  AT LAST!!!

The National Television Awards – shortlists will be announced around Jan’ 8th.  ADOW was on the long list so we shall have to wait and see if it made the shortlist.  If it does – the awards are televised on 22nd Jan ITV.

Sky Arts Portrait of the Year – starts in January 2019 and continues through until March.  Matthew is a guest model in one episode however we don’t know which one he will be in yet.

Official Secrets – premieres at the Sundance film festival on the 28th January. We’re guessing it’s likely to be released in the UK first (sorry).  It stars Keira Knightley, Matt Smith, Ralph Fiennes and Matthew as journalist Peter Beaumont –

All Souls Con – for All Souls Trilogy fans.  Save the date: 2-3 August 2019, Cardiff, Wales.  It would be amazing if Matthew made an appearance – keep your fingers and toes crossed!

Golf Tournaments – check back here nearer the dates to see if he’s due to play at these:-

  • PGA Championships – Wednesday 18th September at Wentworth, Surrey (changed from May).
  • Matthew normally plays golf in the Dunhill Links Championships at St Andrews in Scotland in October – it looks like it will take place at the end of September this year.
  • Maybe the British Masters at Walton Heath as well?
