The King’s Man movie
Empire Magazine’s Ultimate Movie Playlist issue for August has an interview with Matthew Vaughn including a new picture of Matthew’s character Captain Morton/The Shepherd.
Empire online has trailed the article –
The King’s Man Includes ‘Seeds’ For Kingsman 3, Says Matthew Vaughn – Exclusive Images
While The King’s Man will delve into the history of the series – set roughly a century before the previous films, and taking in real-life figures and events including Rasputin and the assassination of Franz Ferdinand – it also sets up more of the franchise’s future. “We’ve put seeds for what’s going to happen in Kingsman 3 all the way back into this,” confirms Vaughn. “And it’s going to be very different.” After initially planning to hand the third Harry Hart-Eggsy adventure off to another director, Vaughn is now considering helming that next instalment himself. “I actually don’t know what I want to do,” he says. “There is an opportunity for a director to really change it up, but I’m considering it.”

Extracts from an article in the Yorkshire Post follow –
The film, which stars Academy Award-winners Jim Broadbent and Dame Helen Mirren, is based on the true story of Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver who, in 1961, stole Spanish artist Francisco Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London – the only theft in its history.
The 77th Venice Film Festival – considered one of the ‘big five’ such showcases – takes place between September 2 and 12.

Matthew plays a character called Jeremy. No further details are available at the moment.
