Many thanks to @di-elle on Tumblr for translating this interview for fans.  Transcript is below –

The interview translated :

First question: describe s1.

Teresa: it was fun!

Matthew: filming it was fantastic. It’s a fantasy, she is a witch, I’m a vampire, they’re not supposed to be together.

Teresa: star crossed lovers.

Matthew: exactly, very. Thwarted love. We’ll get into trouble, involving others , daemons, magic…

Teresa : vampires…

Second question: vampires and witches don’t usually get along in fantasy literature. What happens here?

Matthew: we’re not supposed too, in this case destiny intervenes.

Teresa: a strong love.

Matthew: we don’t really like each other in the beginning …

Teresa: yes, that’s right!

Matthew : as happens to many couples!

(they laugh)

Third question about Italian locations.

Teresa: yes, we’ve been to the Dolomites last week, and we even went to sky, no wait…

Matthew: that’s season2!

Teresa: I shouldn’t talk about it!

Matthew: in s1 my castle, Sept Tours , is in France, but we love this country, and we chose an Italian castle instead.

Teresa: and we love the Italian crew. It was great to work with them again. We love being here.

Fourth question: s1 is set in Oxford , in present days , but now you’re wearing amazing period costumes. What is going to happen?

Matthew: (joking) I’m working on a Xmas play, 4 shows in December, we’re rehearsing very hard for it, she is helping me.

Teresa: no! (Laughs)

Matthew: we travel back in time!

Teresa: to 1590, in Elizabethan London, you need to read the books, and come back to watch season 2. I don’t know when it will premiere…

Matthew: me neither…

Teresa: … but we have fabulous new costumes. I’m wearing corsets. And look at him, how dashing.

Matthew: you can’t imagine how much time I need to go to the bathroom.

Host: I don’t want to know. But first, there’s season 1 for Italian viewers.

Teresa: enjoy the first season!

Matthew: have fun!

Another new movie – ‘Silent Night’ with Keira Knightley

Deadline have posted details of a new movie for Matthew –

According to Deadline, Keira Knightley is attached to star in a new British Christmas film titled Silent Night with 12-year-old Golden Globe Nominee Roman Griffin Davis (JoJo Rabbit), Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey, Official Secrets), and Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders). Filming is said to be underway next month, February 17th.

When Deadline first reported this earlier today
Casting is underway for the role of Knightley’s husband in the film. The couple’s screen son will be played by Jojo Rabbit child star Roman Griffin Davis. The project will mark the feature directorial debut of Camille Griffin (Griffin Davis’s mother) who has also scripted.

Side Note: When I first read casting news this afternoon, I was hoping the casting gods would cast Matthew Macfadyenfor the role of Keira‘s husband in this film (as I thought it would be another great reunion for Keira & Matthew since it’s been a long time since they last co-starred in Pride & Prejudice 2005 and Anna Karenina 2012 films). Then, Deadline quickly updated their casting news info. in a different article earlier tonight with two new actors joining Keira including someone name Matthew. I almost got excited, when I saw the the name Matthew…lol. But unfortunately, it wasn’t Macfadyen, rather it was another Matthew as in Matthew Goode (who previously co-starred with Keira in The Imitation Game and the very recently whistle blower thriller, Official Secrets). It didn’t say what role Goode was playing, but I’m guessing he’s playing the husband of Keira’s character. Not a bad casting at all, if he is, as I don’t mind and like Matthew Goode…he’s easy on the eyes and a very good actor too. He and Keira will be great in this film. I guess, I was just hoping for another Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen movie reunion (where they play as a couple again like in P&P)…

Anyway, read more info. about Silent Night via Deadline below…

Matthew Goode And Annabelle Wallis Join Keira Knightley And Roman Griffin Davis In Christmas Pic ‘Silent Night’

EXCLUSIVE: Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey) and Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) are joining Keira Knightley and JoJo Rabbit star Roman Griffin Davis in the Christmas-themed movie Silent Night. Production gets underway February 17.

Elements of the project were first revealed earlier today. This is the whole story.

Marv Films’ Matthew Vaughn (Rocketman) will finance and produce the project alongside Trudie Styler (American Honey) and Celine Rattray (The Kids Are All Right) of Maven Pictures. Camille Griffin will make her directorial feature film debut from her own original screenplay. Griffin, the mother of Golden Globe-nominated JoJo Rabbit breakout Griffin Davis, has written and directed five shorts before this. She started her career working in the camera department alongside cinematographers including Darius Khondji and Ben Davis.

While Silent Night’s plot details are being kept largely under wraps, the festive comedy will focus on an extended family having a Christmas dinner in a country setting.
Matthew Vaughn said, “Camille’s script is haunting and original – I was immediately captivated when I read it. I am very excited to be supporting her directorial debut and I can’t wait to make this film alongside Celine and Trudie.”

Added Styler: “Celine and I are thrilled to continue Maven’s mission of greater representation for women in film. Our writer-director Camille is a talented, distinctive new voice. We are excited to be collaborating with Matthew on this film, and also the brilliant Keira and Roman.”

Knightley and Goode previously starred together in movies Official Secrets and The Imitation Game. Goode will next be seen in Vaughn’s The King’s Man. Two-time Oscar nominee Knightley has 20th Century’s upcoming Misbehaviour. Wallis’ projects in post-production include the lead role in James Wan’s Malignant and The Silencing with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

New Movie Role?

Deadline and some local Yorkshire sites have announced details of The Duke – a new movie starring Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent.  Deadline’s details follow:-

As we revealed back in October, the heavyweight Brit acting duo are leading the cast of the film based on the true story of 60-year-old taxi driver Kempton Bunton who, in 1961, stole a Goya painting from the National Gallery in London.

Bunton sent a ransom note saying he would only return the picture on condition that the UK government agreed to provide free TV for the elderly. However, it turned out he was spinning a web of lies, with the full story not emerging for another 50 years. The incident was the first, and still only, theft in the National Gallery’s history.

Fionn Whitehead and Matthew Goode are also in the cast. The script was written by Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors) and Clive Coleman and the film is produced by Nicky Bentham (Moon) of Neon Films. Backing came from Ingenious Media and Screen Yorkshire.

Pathé will distribute the film in the UK, France and Switzerland and is handling sales for the rest of the world.

No up to date information about Matthew’s role is on IMDB or his agent’s site yet but hopefully we can bring that to you soon.

The King’s Man Trailer /Release delayed

Matthew’s character ‘Tristan’ is being kept in the shadows at the moment so we think he will be a baddie!  His is the Scottish voice at the beginning of the trailer.
